Rooted Between Worlds

Rafael was born in the highlands of Curitiba, Brazil, a place where ancient Araucária pines and rainforest mist seemed to echo the invisible world he always sensed. From an early age, he was attuned to both energy and emotion: intuitive, mischievous, and sensitive. This dual nature often clashed with traditional education, but quietly shaped a lifelong inquiry into the nature of consciousness.

The wound and the search

At 14, a traumatic experience became an unspoken rite of passage, sparking years of internal struggle. What followed was a battle with self-repression, addiction, and disconnection, always accompanied by a deeper yearning for truth. In his early 20s, that search took form through spiritual exploration. While studying engineering at a Catholic university, Rafael found himself more drawn to theology than to technical equations, eventually immersing himself in world religions, the Bhagavad Gita, and Eastern philosophies.

Building a Bridge: Science, Systems & Spirit

While Rafael completed his formal education in engineering, he simultaneously began building an inner curriculum studying Yoga, Tantra, meditation, and somatic practices. He developed a deep respect for systems thinking, which he later applied to human development, organisational leadership, and transformation work. His professional journey included over two decades in project management, leadership development, and consulting across the corporate, public, and community sectors.

Initiations Across Continents

In his mid-twenties, Rafael relocated to Australia, where he built a career in engineering while raising a family. His travels through India, Thailand, and Indonesia became more than adventures—they were initiatory pilgrimages into indigenous wisdom, shamanic healing, and ancient spiritual technologies. Alongside this, he trained in holistic modalities, co-facilitated men’s work and rites of passage programs, and mentored individuals and groups through transformational processes.
